The Level 1 program of the Nordic Flow Academy is an enriched 8-week course designed to introduce participants to a comprehensive mindfulness practice grounded in Buddhist traditions and expanded with a variety of integrative techniques. This course emphasizes mindful breathing as a gateway to understanding and connecting with our body, mind, emotions, and perceptions, and extends to include mindful movement practices such as QiGong and Tibetan Rites. Participants will explore the science behind mindfulness and its efficacy in reducing stress and enhancing sleep, guided by insights from modern research and traditional practices. The teachings of Dr. David Hawkins on emotional frequencies will also be integrated to deepen the understanding of how mindfulness can transform emotional states. Through a blend of theoretical learning and practical application, this program aims to cultivate a sustainable mindfulness routine that supports participants in navigating the complexities of a digitally-driven world.

Learning Objectives

By the end of the Level 1 program, participants will be able to:

  1. Understand Comprehensive Mindfulness Principles:

    • Deepen knowledge of mindfulness, its Buddhist roots, and its relevance in the modern digital age.
    • Recognize the interconnections between mindful breathing, body awareness, and emotional regulation.
  2. Develop Science-Based Mindfulness Practices:

    • Employ mindfulness techniques proven by science to improve sleep quality and reduce stress levels.
    • Understand the physiological and psychological mechanisms by which mindfulness practices exert their benefits.
  3. Practice Mindful Movement:

    • Learn and practice QiGong and Tibetan Rites as forms of mindful movement to enhance physical and energetic balance.
    • Integrate these movements into daily routines to improve physical health and mental clarity.
  4. Manage Emotional Frequencies:

    • Explore Dr. Hawkins' concept of emotional frequencies to understand the impact of emotions on overall well-being.
    • Use mindful practices to navigate and transform emotional states, aiming for higher vibrational frequencies such as peace, joy, and love.
  5. Implement Mindfulness in Daily Activities:

    • Apply mindful breathing and movement to foster continuous mindfulness throughout the day.

  6. Cultivate a Supportive Mindfulness Community:

    • Engage with peers to share experiences and support each other’s growth in mindfulness practice.
    • Participate in discussions that enhance understanding and provide diverse perspectives on applying mindfulness.
  7. Prepare for Science-Based Personalized Breathwork Coaching:

    • Establish a solid foundation in mindfulness and breathwork to pursue personalized coaching.
    • Participants inspired by their progress and learning may be invited to Level 2, where they can train to coach others and deepen their practice.
